Early in March, Bridges of Love received a call from a partnering agency. They had come into contact with Richard, a 74 year old man who had lost his wife last year. Since her death, he had trouble with the regular upkeep of his home. In his backyard, there lay 5-6 tons of roofing debris that Richard had no way of clearing. The city had contacted him with a citation, fining him for every day he did not clean it up. Bridges of Love connected him with seven volunteers from Fellowship Christian Church who went out to his home on March 3rd. In addition to clearing the debris, they also cut branches from trees in his yard. What an amazing day! Richard could not have been more grateful for the help he could not have gathered on his own.
