GOOD SAMARITAN UPDATE

Good Samaritan Transportation is now partnering with Catholic Community Services to better serve East Pierce County with medical transportation. Learn more about CCS and their programs!

Volunteer Chore Services of Pierce County, a program of Catholic Community Services is seeking Volunteer drivers to drive our clients to and from medical appointments, grocery shopping and other necessary errands. Our clients are low income seniors and people with disabilities who have no other transportation resource. We are especially seeking volunteers willing to drive in the East Pierce County area.

Our volunteers use their own vehicles and we reimburse 50.5 cents a mile from the volunteer’s home back to their home. You can drive one day a week or up to five days a week. You set your own schedule. There are many incentives like gas cards, oil changes, car washes and many interesting trainings.

All volunteers must pass a Washington State Criminal Background Check; have three good references and a good driving record.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Jodie Moody, Program & Transportation Coordinator at (253) 502-2741 or visit their website for more information. We look forward to having you join our team!
