TRANSITIONAL HOUSING NEEDED

From the Executive Director

The housing costs for many in Pierce County is extremely hard to afford. In an effort to help prevent homelessness for some singles, and some small families we are developing a relationship with Northwest Christian Fellowship Network, which is also a group of churches, who have rented  4 homes ” Homes of Naomi, Ruth & Boaz in which to put  singles mainly, in efforts to help them with a roof over their heads and involve the people in a holistic Christian approach to life. They will case manage people, help them get back on their feet and give direction in their lives helping them become self-sufficient. They will also be involved in Christian discipleship activities to strengthen and mature them spiritually. The founder and director, Yvette Kungkagam will be moving into our new office and having an office to work out of instead of working out of her car as she’s done the past 7 years. They have just rented a bigger home and are in need of 14 dressers and many twin sized beds. They could also use a large sectional sofa in very good condition.  They could use kitchen things like, heavy duty pots and pans, utensils and a set of dishes.

If you can help with any of the above please email Sherry at execdir@loveincpiercecounty.com or call me at 253-468-6236.

Blessed to be a blessing,
