Brief History

2000 Eleven churches came together to meet community needs
2002 LoveINC is launched from a mobile home
2005 A furniture bank is opened
2010 New ministries including a bookstore and personal care pantry
2017 Name change to Bridges of Love NW; bookstore closed
2019 Two co-directors were hired to increase ministry reach
2020 Covid causes changes in daily operations.
2022 Moved the office into the Ministry House at Puyallup Nazarene church, along with establishing a Pantry location there.
2023 Pantry relocated to Rainier View Christian Church in Spanaway
2024 Bridges of Love office moved into New Hope Community Church close to Lake Tapps

Bridges of Love Bookkeeper

Susie Olson - Serving Since 2016

Susie began volunteering in 2016 in different areas of the ministry. Bookkeeping is her area of expertise, and in December of 2022 Susie was hired as our part-time bookkeeper. She has been involved with quarterly and year-end paperwork. She has been such a blessing to the staff here at Bridges.

Bridges of Love Co-Director

Shaun Skidmore - Serving Since 2019

Shaun is an amazing man of God who gives freely of himself to Bridges of Love NW and our clients. He has served as Assistant Director since May of 2019 and has built many wonderful relationships with local churches and clients. He relies upon the power of the Holy Spirit to guide him through his conversations with clients as he prays with them in their moment of crisis. Shaun also serves at New Hope Community Church in Lake Tapps, WA and is working in ministry through Village Missions.

Bridges of Love Co-Director

Lisa Serrano - Serving since 2023

Lisa Serrano began training and volunteering with Bridges of Love NW in April of 2023. It was readily apparent that she was gifted for many areas of the ministry. She served faithfully, working with clients from April to November, when she was hired as the new Co-Director. She continues to minister to our clients and to better our communication with our partnering churches. God has used her already as a blessing to Bridges of Love NW and the community.
